Grand Theft Auto continues to be a huge hit on PS4 and Xbox One, with no release date of GTA 6 in sight. While players are still waiting for this great update from Rockstar Games, other interesting things are being watched by the parent company Take-Two Interactive. Many analysts are currently supporting the next Grand Theft Auto game, the release date of which will be set at the end of 2021 at the earliest.
And even if this isn't good for PS4 and Xbox One players who expect to play GTA 6 without having to update their current hardware, this doesn't completely exclude the possibility of a cross-.
And if Rockstar Games puts it together, they probably need a very large team.
Fans have discovered interesting posts in Rockstar Games, although it's unclear whether they could be linked to Grand Theft Auto.
However, what is being tracked is the growing number of vacancies posted on Take-Two Interactive.
According to ThinkNum , Take-Two has increased its attitudes by 108% since August 2019, and the numbers dropped briefly in January.
This information cannot be directly linked to Rockstar Games or any of its studios. Take-Two has a large portfolio of developers and franchise companies.
But without a large AAA currently expected for Take-Two in 2020, these extra people have to go somewhere.
"With so many studies, it is difficult to track every opening in the world," explains the ThinkNum report.
"2K has its sports games, Gearbox has the Borderlands franchise and Firaxis has XCOM. A new bioshock is under development and it will of course take years before we learn about the new rock star game in development.
"Thinknum tracks companies that use the information they post online (jobs, social and web traffic, product sales and app reviews) and creates records that measure factors such as attitudes and earnings and pedestrian traffic. The records may not be complete (they only represent what is available on the web), but they can be used to measure performance factors such as people and sales. "
We know that development teams are starting to increase the workforce as they get off to a big start, and this can only be seen as a positive signal for a company.
Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two, recently commented on the new games that the company's various studios are working on.
"The Take-Two development portfolio in the coming years is the largest and most diverse in our history, including the release of our largest franchise companies, new IP addresses, and a broad combination of gaming experiences designed to keep audiences well beyond their first launch to captivate and attract, "he told investors in February.
"We are also actively investing in emerging markets, platforms and business models that have the potential to promote growth.
"Take-Two is uniquely positioned to benefit from the many positive trends in our industry and generate long-term growth and margin expansion."
While it's good to see a company slowly building its workforce, there was more news this week related to GTA 6.
This includes updating the Rockstar Games website with new designs and logos for the Rockstar Games studio.
The two pictures look festive, one with a robot with champagne and one a little more cryptic.
The second contains references to 1998, the year Rockstar Games was founded, although some fans believe that this could mean something different.
At the moment, nothing seems to indicate a GTA 6 announcement for PS4 and Xbox One.
But even if these latest images aren't references to GTA 6, it doesn't mean that Rockstar Games won't be able to post any news about its next project in the coming months.
