The release date of GTA 6 has not yet been announced by Rockstar Games. Rockstar Games is currently preparing to launch Red Dead Redemption 2 on their PC.
But when it's all over, fans will wonder what will happen to the famous studio and whether it will be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
Recent rumors suggest that GTA 6 will be released in late 2021 and the game is based at least in part on Vice City.
This would nourish Rockstar Games' habit of exploring former playing cards such as Liberty City and San Andreas.
However, before the start of the next Grand Theft Auto game , more parallel projects could be announced.
Fans have seen an update to GTA 3, suggesting that it could be launched on a new platform. For the game in Australia, a new qualification was commissioned, and fans wondered why this would be necessary for a title released in 2001.
This has led many to believe that Grand Theft Auto 3 will arrive on a new platform like Nintendo Switch or Xbox One.
This seems to be the most likely outcome and should in no way affect the release of GTA 6. Rockstar Games does not seem to be aiming for a complete remastering with Grand Theft Auto 3 Port.
Will GTA 6 be the next big project announced by Rockstar Games in 2020? In this case, PS4 and Xbox One versions are more likely to be included.
Steven Ogg, the actor who played Trevor Phillips in Grand Theft Auto 5, said GTA 6 could arrive soon.
According to reports, this was during a panel discussion at the Brazil Game Show where viewers were told that "the games take between 7 and 8 years to complete the calculations".
This sounds more like a prediction than a tasty piece of information and suggests it will be released in 2020 or 2021.
Another recent report suggests that Rockstar Games is looking for internal websites in Florida. This results from a scan of the scan site in a shared online letter.
Since its inception, the scan agent has been confirmed to be genuine, giving the rumor more credibility.
But while all these rumors on PS4 and Xbox One are still reaching something, many analysts and game watchers suspect the opposite.
TezFunz2, a Twitter account known to publish good information about Rockstar Games projects, expects us to be facing a next generation release.
This would mean that Grand Theft Auto's next game will be on PS5 and Xbox Scarlett, as well as on PC and Google Stadia.
TezFunz2 recently released this prediction and told GTA fans on Twitter:
"With the launch of Playstation 5 in 2020, we can be sure that the next Rockstar title will not be released until 2021 or 2020, with enough time left to finish it."
This would still leave room for a compromised port on PS4 and Xbox One, even if the odds seem small.
Rockstar Games is also affiliated with another major project in its Grand Theft Auto game, GTA Online.
TezFunz told the fans new information and suggested that Rockstar Games could introduce a new surprise mode in the future.
"I found something interesting while checking some things, and this interesting thing tells me that it's possible that the next update to GTA Online will introduce reels or that the Cops and Crooks mode will come back.
"Basically something like the freeroam MK2, I can be totally wrong."
TezFunz added a bit of context and explained what it could mean for the game: "I was referring to the Cops n Crooks Cup, which was the original concept of GTA Online.
"It would be a free mode separate from normal free mode, just like two modes in free mode, here's what the next update or some roles like RDO could offer."
This is still a speculation, but suggests that many projects are running for GTA 5, although GTA 6 does not exist on current production consoles.
